    Enclosed Trailer Advice

I'm shopping for an enclosed trailer for my midyear and wanted to get some advice . What lenght and brand would you recommend and not recommend ? Any other advice you could give me as what to look for would help lots ? Thanks

There have been several LENGTHY treads on the issue of trailers (both enclosed as well as open). I'd start by searching the archives...

Steve, I have been interested in an enclosed trailer myself.
There was a very interesting thread on this same subject, just last March of 2008. I think it had close to 40 posts.
I think this would be helpful.

          Been coverd but:

          Anti Sway
          Load Leveler/Weight distribution
Good spare tire with a way to change it.

          The lighter the better.

Mine is a 28' Featherlite don't even know it's back there.

5000# axles. This results in better wheel/tire load ratings and possibly larger brakes.

trailer weight plus car weight plus extra stuff typically results in more than a 7000# load (3500# axles)

              Steve,
Recently, I started a thread on this exact subject. I received some great advice which brought me to purchase a 24ft. Featherlite enclosed. I had just used it for the first time this weekend and I love it! As mentioned, use the archives and take notes. There is a lot of experience on this site. Good luck!

The complete trailer book sold by NCRS for $18 might have some good information. Listed on page 132 of issue #185. I found found their books excellent.

My suggestion is to buy a haulmark 18 or 20 foot car trailer. 18 will work though a little tight in the front.
