Corvettes Displayed at 1964/1965 New York World's Fair

Does anyone have any information or recollection of the production Corvettes displayed at the General Motors Pavilion at the 1964/1965 New York World's Fair ? What color cars were displyed ? Where the various engine options represented ? What became of these cars once their service at the World's Fair was concluded ? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mark

You might want to do a Google search NV. area. There was a high end Dealer in Vegas back apx 6-7 yrs ago selling a 64 Red Styling Car from the 64 Worlds fair. I recall it had sidepipes thru the side panels like Bill Mitchell's Blue car. Or Bunkie Knudsens Car had as well. Think it was a fuel car. Status now I have no clue.

            The article is pretty interesting.
Did the idea of the opening in the hood remind anyone else of a more cuurent car with a window in the hood?

Thanks guys. I really appreciate your input and I'm especially grateful for the link Michael provided to the Corvette Fever article.

I attended the World's Fair in Flushing Meadow and visited the GM Pavilion; however, my memory of the Corvettes being displayed has faded. Any further information regarding the Corvettes involved in this event will be much appreciated.

Mark, the Red GM show Corvette was originally (after GM was done showing it) owned by Steve Mair, son of GM VP,Alex Mair. Alex gave it to Steve for his 16th birthday. Steve owned it until some time in the mid 80's when he sold it to a group from Texas. I don't know how long they owned it, but it ended up at the Blackhawk Museum in CA. The BK sold it to Mike Yeager in 2002. To my knowledgable Mike still ownes it.
