    54 Voltage Regulator Ground Site

I have recently acquired the correct voltage regulator for my 54 with the cover screws through the top of the cover. The one I removed had the screws on the side at the base of the cover. Atached to one of these screws was what I beleive to be a ground wire (uninsulated-braided). My question is what is the correct location for attaching this ground wire on and original voltage regulator - Thanks, Fred

The VR is ground to the support plate ( that the two screws on the left side take care of that ) it's grounded there.
