Only the upper studs protrude sufficiently to mount the speed nut when installing both the hood and trunk emblems. The contours do not permit the others to extend sufficiently (minimal tips are available) to begin cutting threads; even when leaving the gasket off and applying pressure to create a flat mating surface between ring and car. One solution is to find a speed nut smaller than the standard 1/8" diameter to cut threads. I do not know if one exists? Any other tips? Thanks.

Re: C1 Emblem Installation
Also, don't those attachments use the special round, flat speed nuts with the bent-up "ears" that require a special tool (not the usual hex hat-shaped stamped speed nuts)?- Top

Re: C1 Emblem Installation
I have the same problem on my '57. Brand new "Trim Parts" front emblem bezel and the correct speed nuts and I could only get 2 of them started. When placed next to the original bezels the studs on the repros are slightly shorter.- Top
