66 BB Fan blade color ??

Does not say in Judging manual, 66 BB, original "W" - 5 fan blade....

What color is it supposed to be, I checked archives and found people stating GLOSS and Semi-Gloss......

A general rule of thumb is to get a high gloss that's not so high you can see your reflection in it...

Keith -- agree with Jack. Here's a pic of a "3770529" small block '64 blade on bottom -- wiped one blade [shiny one shown] with Varsol and a rag. The upper is a BB '3888366' with the 'W' on a back spider. Looks dull, but there's overspray and dirt. I'm sure it would clean to same gloss as the bottom one.

Pulled the wiper motor out this afternoon, while the L-36 is out of the car being rebuilt......now going to search the archives or past restorers to see how to clean up a wiper motor........thx....

Bring your blade over and I'll paint it for you. If you need it cleaned up I can do that too.

Grant: THanks buddy, I boxed up my exhaust manifold, fan, oil cannister, pulley, steering pump, etc, etc and am giving them to a co-worker who has a blaster and eastwood powder coat system. Appreciate the offer.

Now with that L-36 out of bay, I really want to tackle the upper and lower A-arms, springs, new shocks, and bushings. Reading my GM manual today and not sure about restoring the front suspension, any tips ??? Keith
