    Rear Wiring Harness retention clips

I am replacing the rear wiring harness on a 66 coup. The AIM notes three retention clips - I have the clips but can't seem to figure out where they should go. The AIM says to center the clip above the inner light. I can't seem to find a hole there for the clip. Does it attach to the light assembly?
    Thanks for the help.

yes you are right the outer two clips go under the speed nut that holds the light in the third goes under the center liscence lamp mouting screw .i did a post on this just a week or so ago and Wayne Midkiff was good enough to post a pic of it search the archives for it under rear harness instalation clips. Thanks Don,
I kept searching for rear wiring harness retention clips - needed to search for tail lamp retention clips (finially searched under your name and found it - looks like you are redoing a 65 - I think I will need to read all of your posts!). The picture was great - seems to show the ground wire on the bottom retaining speed not - AIM made me think this was on the top one.
Any thoughts. Might as well get it right now - while the bumper and all is off.

Joseph, go with the AIM for the tail light clip position.

          Joe:

Make sure you put the ground lug under the wiring clip, so it's making contact with the tail lamp housing. Ask me how I know this is important...

Good point - I would not have thought of that and suspect I would have put clip first then ground wire just because it seems easier.

Hi Guys, I think we need to continue this discussion.
Mike, I'm curious as to how the "ground can contact the tail light housing" when only the socket and studs pass through the fiberglass "Cups" in the body, thereby, insulating the ground from the housing?
The AIM is not clear, but, my recollection of the fastener sequence for the tail lights is: clip, ground lead, speednut.
This sequence forces the grounding path throught the speednut to/from the stud.
The clip is not relevant for grounding, especially with the black phos finish.
