It fully describes this "concept" and hundreds of other engines.

Re: Have you guys seen this?
Incredible power/weight ratio.
32 firing events/revolution means prodigious fuel consumption.
Probably viable for aircraft applications, but too fuel hungry for automotive use.
There is a major problem with this engine. It does not use a camshaft. That means that one will never have the opportunity to put an LT1 camshaft in it.Last edited by Joe C.; February 14, 2009, 09:13 AM.- Top

Re: Have you guys seen this?
Isn't there a law of nature that states all engines must LOOK like the Chevrolet 265 V-8 was their grandfather?

Re: Have you guys seen this?
That's not his invention. I recall flying back from the GM Desert Proving Grounds back in the late 70's or early 80's, and the guy in the seat next to me turned out to be Malcolm Bricklin. When he noticed I was a GM engineer, he opened his briefcase, handed me a fancy color brochure about "the engine that will revolutionize the automobile industry", and proceeded to talk my ear off about its "benefits" and "low cost" and "manufacturing simplicity"; it was EXACTLY the same as the "32-cylinder" engine in the YouTube video.
Bricklin was the Gold Star con-man/promoter of that era, and still is today.- Top

Re: Have you guys seen this?
Bricklin pops up every two or three years with another "get rich scheme". The last was his venture with Chery (sp). I believe that he did sucker quite a few dealers into signing with him before that venture went SouthDick Whittington- Top
