    67 door panel screw location

I am trial fitting a set of repro door panels on my 67 convertible. Are there measurements for the location of the trim screw on the rear edge of the door panel or should I just approximate the location based on to hole in the original door panel?

I read the recent thread on the type of screws to use. I am left with the impression that a number of different types of screws are likely to have been used. Is this corrrect?

    Thank you,

    Randy

I would use the hole in the door as a guide as to where the screw is to go thru the panel. The screw is a specific type. My car has original door panels and only one has this screw. I always wondered why?? Kurt

      Randy,

I think that different types of screws were used. I had a different screw side to side on my 67 convertible.

If you look in the 67 AIM, you won't find a callout on this screw, but some elaborate clip assembly that was supposed to be added (2-8-67 change). Maybe I'm wrong.

I think the factory guys improvised and used one of the old or new kick panel screws, or rear quarter panel screws, instead.

There was a discussion with pictures on this subject not too long ago.

Would just love to have someone show me where this screw is called out in the 67 AIM.

I bought my replacement screws from Long Island and had no problem when my car was judged.

        Good Luck
