C1 Mast Jacket Replacement

I searched the archives and couldn't find anything pertaining to the removal of the mast jacket for C1's. What is the best way to remove the mast jacket from the steering housing?

Also, is there any difference between the years?

it's a press fit. with the steering gear box firmly hed in a vice, grab the steeringw wheel end of the mast jacket and tug on it in a 360 degree pattern. rarely need the Bar brothers(Pry, Crow, & Wrecking) to help ya. mike
