    I think a great collectible, the Detroit News from July 1, 1953 on the first Corvette rolling off the line. It is on ebay at the link below. If not to buy at $925, still cool to see it in the paper on Day 1!

      I love that "Souped up" description. Think that would fly these days? More like "an enornous amount of technical improvements have been made by our engineers to improve the overall performance, reliability and efficiency of the powerplant." Still means; souped up!
