    67 pedal box question

I'm working on refurbishing the pedal box on my 67. When I cleaned it up, I noticed that there was a break between the black paint and what looks like the original surface (unpainted). Is this the way they came from St. Louis? Just curious.

Yes. Mine are the same way. Appears pedal was dipped in paint and the unpainted area was that way because of the shaft rotation

Agree with Steve -- here's clutch pedal of late '65, showing paint dip line, and close-up is of cracked original alongside an NOS '63-6 type. The latter was entirely painted, I suppose so that it wouldn't rust on the shaft surface while in storage.

Note tack weld on service replacement, versus the crimp/punch line on production unit.

So Wayne, have you learned to stay away from those B & B white spring pressure plates yet?
