Roy has way too much fun putting on his rants to remember that it's possible to do both. In fact, I think it's possible to drive, get a few Top Flights and even get Bowtie. Just don't tell Roy.

Yes, guy who rants about us debating details in paint coverage is the same guy who also rants about NOS vs reproduction parts, and how no one cars about the "details" with regard to those. Go figure.

Of course you are right about all of the above:

One also can drive (well once and a while) get the Founders Award, several Top Flights, a Duntov Award and a 5-Star Bowtie (all with the same Corvette), but I'll never admit it.

Yes I will admit it , I'm a ass about paint markings I know that, may be because I do drive my Corvettes and cant maintain that kind of detail but do admirer Corvettes that are .My problem is I'm old school which to me is to drive a Corvette like it's my last day on earth. I admitted I was shocked that the 55 took a top flight which I dint think it deserved compared to what other members go through to restore their Corvette . I deserve your comments and apologize . I'm concerned about original parts verses repro that's my thing, I remember never seeing trailers fill up parking lots .I just got into having Corvette to long ago .

I have that book Rob - you can borrow it - will take it next time I see you (hopefully this creates some commitment to help me with the remainder of the body lift procedure ).

Hey Roy -- I just couldn't resist poking a little fun at you and your Top Flight '55. You (actually the car) deserved every point it got. Don't sell your car short. Remember -- We love ALL Corvettes.
