    1965 coupe on ebay #280309714633-alert!
Alert to potential bidders on this car. 1965 coupe vin #194375S108349
Its from this area in the past,(CONN) Lots of history on it, know the car well.
The way the car is being represented and its description is NOT accurate. The seller has been contacted and informed of discrepencys in the ad but description stands as is is, unchanged.
In fairness to seller, it is an EXCELLENT car and would make a flawless driver, its just that most of the way its being described is not accurate at all.
Starts with the original motor, , not.
It is a real disc brake delete car with original frame, susp, and brake system, one pc nose. excellent interior but its just Al Knoch, contact me if you need to know more.

The vin # listed on the add is not correct either, but the last few digits are.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...fCarsQ5fTrucks

VIN is a bit early for a sidepipe car also IMHO

      Bill,
Trust me, thats the least of any potential interested party in this car as its being represented. But yes, agree with you

I like the '66 big block hood, and the day/night mirror without reverse lights, but my favorite is the prominently-displayed anti-NCRS decal. I wonder if leaving that on the window is meant to serve as his disclaimer to the buyer.

            Louis,
Those stickers were made here by a local graphic artist, as a joke of course. I still have some. There was an article about that same sticker in a restorer magazine a few years back after the article author saw one in Carlisle that summer. The owner of the black coupe already had a TF 425 66 conv and wanted to build this one, the stickers were really developed around him, and it looks like it has survived on the car since he sold it
He has been remorseful he sold it since he did I think, it was impulsive. We got to see it every year after just about as the car would be back in Carlisle each year for sale again, for too much $$$ though. The buyer got a really good deal when he boght it and really did not use it, I think just bought it to flip half heartedly, he had quite a few cars I think. Story continues that it did sell last yaer to the current seller.

Great car, just not anything close to whats advertised

Hi, contact me privately if you like, I know the car well. Never body off at all for one thing, 1 pc nose, plenty of rear body and deck damage/repaired, real nice base coat/clear paint, correct resto engine, block, heads, etc IF memory serves. If it matters really, I can contact the guy who built/restored the car here and check, trans restamped. Its also a real disc brake delete car. Frame was solid. Seats redone with Al Knoch products, do not remember if anything further was done inside but I can tell you if anything was slightly worn anywhere on the car, he replaced it. Gauges, clock, radio, wiring, etc new. He was fanatical! As I stated, its an EXCELLENT driver car and real pretty, it had new torque thrust D's on it which the seller stated he still has, IMO they looked great on the car. I just really do not like the flat out misrepresentation of the car , (fresh rotisserie resto?) especially when I know he has been fully informed. No work has been done to the car at all since my guy locally sold it years back. Hard to plead ignorance when you are told. He has a website listed that indicates he has a car selling business of special interest and regular cars. He is not an innocent oblivious seller.

For the right money, great car to enjoy, but know what you are really getting.

Hi Bill! I just asked him the questions to see what answers I would get. I am not interested in the car. I believe that usually when there is no response the listing person knows what they really have and does not want to make it public.

                    Thanks!

                      Steve,
Agreed, hope some one does not go out and buy their first corvette here based on that add and money. I good reason to join an organization first and get help!

                        I received a reply to my questions;

Yes, a misprint on the 340HP. It IS A 365HP.

I am going to relist the
auction and correct the errors. No power brakes either. This is a "Disk
Brake Delete" Corvette. One of only 316. You got a 60.00 credit. Some
people did not trust the "new" type of brakes. Brakes work
                        perfect.

The no NCRS sticker draws your eye to see that the window trim fits poorly. A nice touch...

                            Bill, I asked:

Has any of the factory fiberglass been replaced? Are you representing this car as an original side exhaust car?

                            Answer:

"I do not know. I bought it the way it is. Your welcome to come visit and check it out. I have a car lift.

                            Thanks,
                            Glenn Folsom"

                            Also asked:

Does the car come with backup lights?

                            Answer:

"I do not know. Will Check."
