    69 C3 Cup Holder

Anyone have any suggestions for a C3 Cup Holder? I bought one of the ones shown below and I'm un-impressed with the wobble and lack of stability.

Can't help you with a reccomendation except that I only allow water in a resealable bottle into my '72. No cupholder needed and in the event that there is a spill it is easily cleaned; no stains, no sticky mess.

      Don:
It looks like I have the same kind you have--bough it at Mid-America. I have trouble getting it on the brake handle and it is so close to the 4-speed--but it is the best I have seen. I can't drive anywhere without my coffee. I redid the interior and carpet so if I spill it--I'll just clean it up. Corvettes are made to drive and eat and drink it. My 2 cents.

Several years ago I bought one of those black metal ones for my '70 similar to the one you show. It matches the color of the shift and forward consoles. There is a set screw mounted on the underside to secure to the bottom of the emergency brake handle. Seems quite secure with no wobble. The only issue I have with these styles is that if one wants to set the emergency brake one must remove all drinks or cups. I put one of those round Corvette flag door handle emblems between the cup holders on it. I don't think the metal ones are made anymore.

              All,

I figured it out this am with my coffee. There are two rubber bushings on the inside top that point downward. There was a lot of gap between the top of the brake handle and the bushings causing it to be very loose. I looked at it for a minute and thought, why not unscrew the bushings until they lock solidly onto the top of the brake handle. I guess these days I need written directions for everything. Locked in place and works great.
