    c1 radiator support extensions installation

I am trying to install the radiator core support extensions (these are the metal pieces to the side of the radiator core support between the core support and body) on my 1961. The radiator is now installed. Am I correct that the radiator support has to be moved out of the way or removed before these extensions can be installed? Also, there does not seem to be sufficient room for them between the support and the body. What have others done to accomplish installation. Are the repros correct?

    Thanks. Charles

I renewed a 62 a few years ago and when I went to install the core support extensions they would not fit.
Strange, since they came out of the car and the only thing that had changed is that there was now paint on the parts.
I believe that the body sort of "relaxed" or moved when the parts were removed.
With some pushing and pulling they were installed but it was a struggle and some touchup paint was needed.
