Exhaust systems from Corvette Central-Allens Exhaust

    Good day all,
Am considering purchasing my welded aluminized exhaust system from either Corvette Central or Allens Exhaust. Both offer a welded system however CC offers the N-11 off road system for extra $$$. What is the difference from their standard system versus the "off road" package? Anyone had experiences with either vendor and their welded systems? Thanks in advance.

I purchased Corvette Central stock replacement for my 69. Can't say anything about how it would be judged as I'm not concerned with putting mine back to original (trying to keep it stock but, far too many parts replaced over the years to ever be original again) but I can say that the installation went slick as butter. Fitment was spot on. They shipped it right away after I ordered. Front half came in one box and the rear half which was welded came in a much larger box a day later.

I used an Allens aluminized system, with 2 road tours and 5 years worth of use it still looks new. Fit was spot on.

I believe the off-road mufflers had one less baffle and different part# from the original standard exhaust.

I would suggest you talk to Gardner Exhaust System out of Red Hook NY. Asked for Eric Gardner. These guys are the best. Its worth a phone call and feel free to you my name. They also have a website you can check out as well. The are the best around in my opinion. Jeff

Michael - I installed a welded stainless system from Allens last spring. Mike Jr. was very helpful and helped me understand wthe difference of the off road config. It is simply one less baffle and gives a little throatier sound. I went with that and have been very pleased. Installation was excellent. I'd never done this before but it went in really well. The bends were perfect and everything fit well. The nice thing is that there appears to be several good vendors to choose from. If you end up choosing Allen's you won't be disappointed. Good luck.

              Michael,
You may want to check the archives. There have been several very informative threads on this topic recently.

PS - The stock mufflers had three baffles, the off-road's (N-11s) had two.

                Jeffery,

Spoke with Eric Gardner (Gardners Exhaust) last week end....very nice....very personable and seems to know his business. However for the same like kind standard welded exhaust aluminized system, their charge was $150.00 higher than the other two companies. With materials cost being the similar for all 3 (Gardners, Corvette Central and Allen's) is difficult to justify paying the additional $$$ for a welded system.

The N-11 system sounds very interesting!
