I have just spent a million hours looking for a 1960 T10 for sale. Can anyone tell me where I can look. I've tried ebay, driveline and pipers is there anywhere else I should be looking.

Re: Looking for a T 10 transmission
Stewie, Have you checked the Driveline On-Line that you can download from the Technical Discussion Board top menu? The Driveline On-Line pdf file is key word searchable, which makes is easy to try to find a particular item. Also, there were several transmission vendors at the Florida Regional swapmeet. Might drop Tyler Townsley (a Technical Discussion Board Member) an e-mail and he might be able to send you their contact info or a vendor catalog from the swap meet. Good luck and Cheers, Gary....NCRS Texas Chapter

Stewart
You really haven't stated what the problem is. Is it a date code that you are having trouble finding? There are three different ads in the newest driveline for T-10 transmissions. If all else fails get a tranny in it and drive it till you find the right one.

Re: Looking for a T 10 transmission
Run a WTB ad in the Driveline. Do NOTgo out and pay '57 T10 prices for one - they are out there; I have one, but it was built on the same day as the original and will be retained as a backup. Purchased at a neighbor's garage sale for $125....No, it is NOT for sale.- Top

Re: Looking for a T 10 transmission
Bubba put a saginaw box in there at some time.
I had it pulled apart and replaced everything that it needed. I told the tranny shop it crunches in second. I payed him and installed the gear box and guess what ? it still crunches in second. All other gears are great.
Since I want to flight the car one day I thought I would try to get the real deal. I have a couple of transmissions I can buy correct for the year date but I don't understand the prices of these things.
If it's a junker and it needs a re build I realise it costs a fortune. But how does it get from $600 for a junker to $3000 for a rebuilt unit. That would owe me around 6-7 k landed in Australia. What should I be paying for one of these. I thought a $600 junker would run into around maybe $1500. I'm not sure how they get $3k for a rebuilt one. And thanks for the responses I really appreciate it.- Top

Re: Looking for a T 10 transmission
Loren, yes I saw that tranny a few days ago. Great buy if it's not to hurt the car was in a bad accident. It's the wrong date right year a few months out. I might post a new thread regarding dates correct or not what's the verdict.- Top

Re: Looking for a T 10 transmission
Well, I know you did NOT see this trannie a couple of days ago.....it's been in my garage for four years. What I was trying to say is, there ARE T10s out there, no need to hit the $$$$/panic button.- Top

Re: Looking for a T 10 transmission
Here's a T-10 on Denver's Craigs list but doesn't mention the year.
