67 Alum. Trim ring restoration question ?

Do you folks remember an article last year in the driveline about a gentleman that spoke of & restored the Alum. trim rings for our cars with the Rally Wheels?? I wanted to get in touch with him to take care of mine or any other restorers out there! Thanks very much.

I think you want Rick Miller. He advertises in the NCRS Driveline. (435) 668-7062 or email at rkmiller@infowest.com.

Original trim rings should be stainless steel.

I think Dick meant to write "Fall River" instead of New Bedford.

OOOPS, your right Mark. Fall River is correct.

I just received my set of original trim rings for my '67 back from Rick Miller today. He did a great job, good turn around time, and he is very easy to work with. I would recommend him to anyone -- mine came back just like new.

Rick lived in San Diego for years and has been restoring 67 trim rings ever since I can remember. He lives in Utah now, but we all see him at Pomona Swap meets. His work is excellent and price is fair.

Rick did great work on my 70 trim rings, too. Just be aware that your rings will come back as bare stainless, and as such will have a yellowish tint to them. I and others believe original rings came flash chromed, but Rick's process will remove the chrome. Of course, you can always rechrome them like I did. Good luck.
