Make sure you paint the staples if you're going for Flight Judging. I believe they were sprayed during the Blackout process.

Here's a few pics to demonstrate "typical" factory production of the staple machine going through steel. One shows a good example of the curved "bow" shape (appears also in shadow). One of these inner dust shields had 14 staples, some staples missed the target, etc .....

Where do you get splash shields that are predrilled? I have NOS ones and thy don't have any holes in them. I don't have a template. Thanks....
