'58 gas cap
Was this gas cap used in production? I noticed that the version shown in the TM&JG has the F E designations for Fuller Emerson.

While that cap may fit and function properly, it's NOT one of the four that are recognized as factory original. The current edition of the JG cites one cap (mfgr not stated) for early cars (a carry over from 1957) and then three separate mfgrs of 58L-60 cars:
(1) Fuller Emerson (cap looks like the AC you show).
(2) Standt
(3) Eaton
