    Who has the answer?

Does anyone knows of a publication that would show nuts and bolts (so help me!) for the 58 with dimensions, part #s etc. I interpret this to mean it should preferably be illustrated with pictures of nuts, bolts, screws, whatever and listing part #, length, width, head shape and pattern (regular, Philips, flat, round, etc.) for each one. He says he has an assembly manual and a parts book but is looking for something more technical. That's why I'm asking the Technical Discussion Board.

Yes and no, Cece... There's a current thread initiated by Rev. Mike Ernst that asks who's got a copy of the Standard Parts Catalog. WAY back, this was included as Section 8.899-8.981 of the Parts & Accessories catalog (what the dealer counter man used), but circa the mid-60's it removed from the P&A Catalog and made into a separate book.

It does list fasteners by GM PN (along with other parts like electrical fuses, pipe plugs, drain cock valves, Etc.) and gives their pertinent dimensions. It does NOT list 'obscure' information like headmarks on fasteners and who was qualified to supply what parts at what time.

I've got three P&A catalogs that contain the Standard Parts information ('58, '61 and '64) and I don't mind looking up a part or two for you. But, not each and every fastener is listed.

Yes, and you'll find that the VAST majority are not since they were never available in SERVICE. This is particularly true for bolts and screws.

I've got a 70/1 Standard Parts Catalog - tell Admiral Nelson to send his list and we'll see.

There was a thread I started a while ago about the pages in my 29-59 Parts book.

BUT....as Joe mentioned, there was much hardware used at St Louis which was not available in service. Please use these references at your own risk.
