1964 Rear Frame Access Panel & Screw Finish?

Hi all again,

Trying to locate in the judging guide information on the rear frame access panel and screw finish with no luck. Do anyone know the correct finish texture and where it's located in the 63-64 Judging Guide?

In the TJG 3rd ed. under wheelwells it says "after undercoating, these areas are blackened out with semi-gloss black paint". The 5th ed. explains further that the undercoating stops short of covering this mounting bolt access panel . Mine appears the same as described. So I guess the answer is they are painted black.

Hi, the panel was put on after body drop due to installing the body bolt there. Bolts should be unpainted, just the panel was painted. Bolts might be zinc, like the rocker panel bolts etc. Look in Noland's book, find bodies being dropping onto frame, no panel in place. A good one is in the 63 section. Happy hunting!
