I don't think that Standard Parts Catalogs were printed in the 60's. In those days the standard parts offerings were covered in section 8.9 the regular P&A Catalogs. I think the separate catalogs began about the early 70's. In any event, from what I can tell, GM #122007 was never a SERVICE-available part. So, you won't find it in any parts catalog. The vast majority of PRODUCTION-utilized fasteners were never available in SERVICE, ESPECIALLY for bolts and screws.

Mike, bolt # 122007 is in the 56-7 AIM. It's 5/16 bolt .6 inch long. Typically, with a WB1C, L, E or small T logo. Hope this helps. Gary....

Mike -- to confirm what others have said, my P&A30 chassis collection starts (Rev) July 1965 thru 1969, and the section you are probably referring to is the STANDARD PARTS SECTION, comprising groups 8.899 thru 8.991. Nothing shows for part #122007 under Gr 8.900 thru 8.913 (bolts and screws).

Thanks, guys!! Can't believe that I didn't look in my old parts books first. Gary--additional question for you; you say it's .6 inches long--is that the entire length of the bolt, or the shank only? That strikes me as too short for the application. I have a 1" shank WB1C in there, and the car has been unmodified, down to the original fan belt with 11 61 date still on it. (Total length is about 1 3/8") It looks too long, but if the head is about .375, then I'm wondering about the .6" dimension.
And thanks for the headmarking note--too many want to say that it can only be WB1C, and I very much disagree with that.

Mike, if you are looking for a P&A to buy "Z's Factory Service Manuals" on eBay has a number of them from the 30's to 60's, one from the early 30's to 1964.

Steve--There's a GM publication called a "Standard Parts Catalog" that is different from the parts books you make reference to.
I have the 1928-1955, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 65, 67, 69, 70, 72 etc. versions, which changed in the later 60's from the all models of Chevrolet to specific Corvette-only parts books. (I'm not sure why I've captured all those over the years--takes a phenomenal amount of shelf space)

By the way, did you grow up in the Ft. Wayne area? I went to Concordia Senior College there, pitched semi-pro baseball for Glenbrook mall, and married a girl from New Haven.

Hi Mike! Thanks for setting me straight. I am originally from southern Ohio, Jackson area, started school in Etna Green, a few miles west of Warsaw, and spent last half of second grade to graduation growing up in Butler, about 20 miles north of New Haven. I went to Purdue at Fort Wayne and Fort Wayne was home for about nine years (1967-1976). For awhile I lived at Canterbury Green, close to Concordia! Great town! I miss it and friends there. I bought my '57 from a fellow from Garrett who now lives in Fort Wayne on St. Joe Center Rd., a couple of miles from Concordia! In HS dated a girl from New Haven and bought my '77 from Crumback-Symons there. Small world as they say! Another NCRS member, Tom Bryant, grew up in Butler, also! We scoured local junk yards and helped a friend wax his '66 L-79 black Nova alot in addition to modifying a mini bike!

Mike, it's the shank length and doesn't include the head. Info came from the 56-7 team which has assembled a fastener list of dimension, head marking, thread, grade, etc. The fastener list, from was used on the car was matched to the AIM to come up with the part number. Intention is to include the fastener list in the 56-7 JM revision. Gary....

Thanks. I'm guessing that it's .625 (5/8ths) rather than just .6--at least per GM specs, since they seem to have done all bolt lengths in 1/8" increments.

Mike, I have a '62 parts book with the 8.900 group in it, but the fastener you are looking for is not listed. However it is listed in the '81 truck and coach vendor conversion book. code0949, vendor # WP-5 The Vendor was "Gunite"
