    Need pic of rear underbody

does anyone have a pic of the rear underbody on the passenger side for a 71 convertible - behind the storage area. I beleive there should be an actuator for the astro ventiliation on the passenger side but mine is missing and there is so much patchwork i'm not sure what to tell the guy who is helping me with my fiberglass work. he said if i could get a pic he could make it look the same way. also, when i paint the underbody and engine bay should i use one type of black paint or several in different areas? thanks for any help.

Does your car have factory air?...C60 cars do not have the rear AstroVentilation doors, and therefore there is no actuator; the door openings are covered with fixed plates.

Several different gloss levels of black paint are used on the car. You can use one paint for everything black, but your restoration won't look authentic. Correct gloss level for each black component has to be identified case by case.

no factory air, it was wrecked and there is was some joining of some old and new fiberglass in that region, but it was done very sloppily. on the paint I was referring to the painting of the fiberglass under the car vs. the engine bay vs. the wheel wells, etc. - thanks again

        Hi Cleet,
I believe member Jeff Wilson is working on a 71 Convertible. Perhaps if he doesn't see your post you could contact him for some help.
I think you'll find that very little of the under body has any paint on it. It wasn't part of 'blackout' the way the engine compartment and wheel wells were. So any black paint was incidental.
        Regards,
        Alan

PS: I just checked, his cars are a 70 and 72, but he may still be able to help you out.
