After 2 months of wating for chic... corvette to deliver a used set of 1970, po2 wheel covers, I recieved them yesterday
. Someone painted them gloss black
that appears to be wrong and of course will need center emblems due to cracking. I have decided to recondition them myself. I think the black should be semi-flat or semi-gloss, whatever, I think it is the same finish as other gm hubcaps that were produced in the 60's. My 3 recondition questions are (1) should s/steel part of cover have a sharp point on chrome revealed ends or square? (2) Should cast alum. part of cover be chrome, black, or grey on sides of spokes? I do see flat black on 1/2" wide support ring and on 8 blocks on the same ring. Also, (3) is the center hub between spokes grey, black or chrome. Please bear with me if my descriptions are lacking proper description wording. Thanks!!! Any preference on emblem supplier paragon or trim parts.
