    Screws

I have 2 of the wrong screws in my 67 coupe. They are the 2 that hold a 4 inch piece to the back of the door jam. It holds the cardboard to the door jam. I looked in the AIM and can not find these screws listed. It you opened the door on a coupe it would be at the level of where the glass meets the door. They are chrome and have a flat head with a slight rige on the outer edge. thank you Dale

    Re: Screws

    Dale,
Head style is not flat head, it's a special modified small pan, as the back side of the head is flat not conical.

I think those screws are a #6 sheet metal thread and overall length is less than 1/4". If I remember correctly they are also used for the mid year coupe windshield brackets under the weatherstrip.

Since they are protected by the w/s and goop they have a good survival rate but need to be cleaned up.

Another source is along the door outer w/s on some c3's.
