68 Wiper Door Solenoid location

I have a 68 Convertible L36, built November, 67.

My wiper door solenoid is located below the drivers side dash to the right of the vacuum override switches to the which are located to the right of the steering column. Everyting I have read indicates the wiper solenoid is supposed to be attached to back of the tachometer.

My question is were there any exceptions/variations to the location of the wiper door solenoid being on the back of the tach.

I am in the middle of replacing my vacuum hoses and want to locate the solenoid in the proper location.

Mike Ive Replaced A Few Of Those Solonoids They've Always Been Behind The Tach, Most Of The Time When Replaced They Let Them Hang On Tie-up To Something Under The Dash, Because Of The Work Involved.
