C1 2x4 carbs

What's a set of wcfb castings for a 245hp 283 worth? They have the correct throttle plates, 049 centers, and 1299 tops. They're missing most of the of the internals, the arms w/weights. etc.

How common are the missing parts such as the short arms/plates?
Are the floats common between various wcfbs?
Are there any good sources out there for parts?
What's in running these days to get a pair restored?

Ted - I bought a set of 245HP cores last summer for my 1960. I paid $400 for the rear and $800 for the front carbs which was a good deal I thought. I located a few other sets of cores and all were priced at the $2,500 to $3,800 range for a set. They were hard to find. A couple of restored sets were in the $4K-$4.5K range. I just had them restored by Chuck Smith and that cost $750 plus $500 for all the missing and bad parts from the cores (new tags, throttle shafts, choke assembly, secondary air valves, fast idle asseembly, various linkage, etc.). Chuck publishes a price list and has a lot of the missing parts. Hope to bolt them on next month.

6 months ago the prices seemed higher for parts so the prices have probably came down some. Still a hard item to come by though.
