Question re: 60 Vette trans "Arms and Rods"

    Gents,

In this 60 Vette I obtained a correct date coded tranny; by mistake I bought the wrong linakge and have since purchased the correct from Corvette Central.

I want to be insured that the arms are correct. Can anyone verify by the pics below?

    Thx in advance.

    Jim

    Jim,

Here are some pics of my 4-speed in my 1960. This is how yours should look. You should be able to get an idea of the relative length of the rods by comparing them with the transmission length. Let me know if you need more assistance.

    Good Luck!

      HI Bob,

Excellent! I am assuming the shifter is in "nuetral?"

Can you take the nuts and washers off the arms so I can see the hole slots on the arms? I need this picture to ensure I have the correct arms as I have pictured above. I don't have the linkage rods connected yet and won't until I can see a pic of the arm slot holes; it takes a very long time to connect the rods to the shifter with the body on.

      Thanks again Bob.

      Jim

        Jim,

I think the shifter is in neutral, but the picture is 2-3 years ago and the car is back together and the body on now. But you can tell exactly which arms go where because you can match up the arms with my picture. The three you have are left to right, rear, middle and front on my pic.

          Bob,

I know which arms go where; and your arms look the sam, however, what I need to ensure, is that the slots on the arms are the same as what I rec'd (see pics of arms above). I don't want to assemble everything again, only to find out I have the wrong arms.

          Thx,

          Jim
