63 Reproduction knock-off wheels question

I have a set of reproduction knock-off wheels for my 63 that have oxidation on the machined surfaces of the wheels. My question is: Is there any way to remove the oxidation and restore the surfaces to their original luster?

Have you tried the ALUMINUM form of Naval Gel? Most hardware stores stock the pink Naval Gel intended to dissolve rust (iron oxide), but there's a second version (blue color) that's made specifically for aluminum oxide...

If they don't have it, most can order it up for you!

Triple 000 steel wool and some light oils, then some never dull polish, both available in your loacal walmart

I'll let you know next week. I'll be at the Kissimmee meet this weekend and will work on them next week.
