    Late Production 67's

Reference a very late june 400 car, what are the changes you would expect to see from earlier production? ie... Nolen's book indicates possible trim ring & T3 headlight difference ( 68 style ? ) ... Also, the 3917215 heads with untapped temp. boss.
My car also has a straight handle hood release instead of the curved version.... I have no idea of originality .

I have a late 67/435 Body build date of 23 June 67, vin# 21683. It's mostly original about 90% of the parts on the car are the parts it left the factory with. The T3's are clear field type. when I bought the car it had two the 2 styles of trim rings but I didn't want to fight with the judges so when I had it judged I made sure that it had 4 of the "correct" 4 clip style on it. My car has 3904391 heads. Hope this helps? If you need any more info call me at
    314 795 1967.

I had to go look at the hood release, it's the curved.

            FWIW,
224XX had the traditional T-3's and the square hood release handle.

Interesting, Mike.... Do you know if your "non-curved" hood release handle is factory? Maby real late cars did have these?

No Ralph, I was not the first owner, so, there is no way of knowing for sure.
I would however, suspect that it was original in that the second owner bought it in '68, drove it for less than two years, then it sat in a barn until I bought it in '04.
The car was assembled two days from the end of production, the workers were probably pulling from the bottom of the bins by then.

Near the end of production I think a lot of strange things happen. My car was built on 23 June 67. The R/H door panel has a date of 6 June 67 but the L/H door panel has a date of 13 Sept. 66 almost a year old door panel. Go figure?
