I am trying to restore any parts on my 66 to original if possible or replace with replacement parts that are the most accurate substitute. Is there a comprehensive publication that would give correct part numbers as well as correct bolt stampings and other identification items?

Re: Correct Parts
Hi Walter. Get the Judging manual and Spec guide from the NCRS. Those 2 publications were so useful when I purchased my first vette. Also, there are many other publications and CD's the NCRS has that will help you, it just depends on what type of info you are looking for. Good luck!- Top

Re: Correct Parts
Hi there. Yes, the pocket spec guide. It is actually one of the most comprehensive books you can have. It covers most of the big components on your car. The Judging manual is a MUST have, even if you never plan on having your car judged. It details fit, finish, condition, part numbers, distinctions between Big Block and Small Blocks, etc. I also purchased the Authentication Library/Trim Tag book before I purchased my car. It is a whole book solely dedicated to trim tags. It shows all the abberations(flaws) in the original trim tags and how to spot a fake. Also, the tech board that you posted this message on is a great source as there are a ton of members who know a heck of a lot more than I do. Good luck!!! Email me if you want more info, are looking for something in particular, etc. nyrfan@bellsouth.net- Top

Re: Correct Parts
Walter,
You might try the AIM (Assembly Manual). It's available from NCRS. Another reference book is "Corvette by the Numbers" by Alan Colvin. There are others, but the titles are not coming to me at the moment.
