    Down Under F41 Rear Leaf Spring #6 & #7??????

    Gday Every One...

Could some one please help me with the F41 Spring in the rear of my 1971 LS5 Vette, when the spring is installed how do you count the leafs so i will know where to leave the liner out between #6 & #7 ????.

It's says in the NCRS Juging Manual that a "liner" is not put in place between #6 & #7 leafs, but do you count from the top down and it's left out between the bottom two leafs or do you count from the bottom up and it's left out between the two longest leafs ????

I hope that all makes sence??

Kind regards from a grateful OZi!!!!

    Greg,
Count from the bottom up. The liner is not installed between the short leafs.

        Greg,
Be careful if you have purchased a new center bolt for your spring. I was lucky to have been warned by others here about the size of the head on replacement bolts. They are usually much taller and can cause damage to the differential case. Mike

          Hi Mike

Thank you for the heads up about the bolt, i didn't know that. I will check it before i do any assembly.

          Kind Regards...
