    Rustproof Inside Frame

I'm getting ready to swap the rear end on my 1963. As I was working under there today I had the opportunity to peek into the frame cross members and saw a bit of surface rust. Now,this car had a frame off in the early 80's (I've had it since 2005) so the exterior of the frame is clean and rust free. Whoever did the frame sand blasted it... I still get sand in my face when working underneath, and I can see caked sand inside of the cross members.

The question is, while I am under there, is there something I can spray into the frame cross members to protect them from further surface rust?

    Thanks!

    Joel

I would brush, air blow off, vacume, and just prime + or, paint with an enamel with similar finish to blend with what you have. Any paint is better than none for preservation. Steve

Eastwood sells a kit for that purpose. Don't know anything about it.

I'm doing a complete restoration on my car, and the expert I'm working with usually uses 3M Rust Fighter-I. Comes in a tall can.
