    c1 heater/defroster fan switch

1962 corvette. I violated rule #1 when removing switch about 2 months ago and didn't label the wires. The switch has a "B" terminal and a #3 terminal. Which terminal do you hook up the brown wire from the blower motor too?

I may have solved my own problem. I hooked the brown blower wire to the "B" and the other wire (hot) to the #3 terminal. (nothing). Then ran an extra ground wire (attached to one of the screws on the fan) to a bolt under the dash for a good ground. Ta Daa, it works now. The threads on this site are fantastic... Keep up the good work everybody!!!!! John

      John -

The goofy C1 heater blower motor is grounded via the outer sheath of the control cable, back to the switch, to the console plate, which has a ground wire attached to the back side; if the switch isn't attached to the console plate, the motor has no ground path.
