I guess Roadster was the Key Word.

Isn't this car the one originally known as the DR-1, for Don Runkle?

My GM neighbor had a ZR-1 convertible home for the week-end long ago (maybe 1990). He let me drive it. It was the first car I'd driven (since the muscle car era) that was faster than my '65 396. Anyone know if there were more than one convertible? Maybe it was this one. I remember it didn't have the wider rear tires.

You sure that wasn't a Callaway Twin Turbo?

Definitely a ZR-1 complete with the "power key". I couldn't feel as much difference as I thought I would with the key to low power setting.

Wasn't there a "One Off" 40th Anniverary ZR-1 Convertible with a matching boat for display at Mercury Marine and other venues?

I got a peak at the SPI on the DR-1 It was not a ZR1 it never appears on the SPI. It had LT5/FX3/Z52 on it.

I believe there was an 89 convertible in England used for testing. I had a 90 and 91 ZR-1 and was approached about buying 2 89 ZR-1 coupes back in 91. I thought the guy was nuts!!.... until I saw them!! One was painted the never released pearl white. These had an interesting story behind them. I think this same guy had the convertible.
