I am currently doing full restoration of my 1957. The color will be Inca Silver. Do NCRS judges use color chips to judge paint originality? Are they available? Any information on correct manufacturer paint code (for mixing), or actual color chips available for comparison? Any data on original Inca Silver body color would be appreciated.

Try these websites for paint formulas: www.corvettepaintcodes.com and www.tcpglobal.com
For TCP Global, click on AUTO COLOR LIBRARY. Then DOMESTIC, CHEVROLET, and 1957....in that order.
The judges do not (generally) use color chips.....although I have seen a few used over the years.
Your biggest issues will be whether to use lacquer or something else, and size of the metallic flake (especially for the inca silver color).
Hopefully someone will have a recent formula and metallic flake recommendation for you. If not, you will be on your own working with a PPG or DuPont rep. Also, highly recommend spraying/evaluating a test panel or two before buying all of the paint for the car.
Having an old panel for color match and metallic match will go a long way to getting the correct mix. Without it, a lot of trial and error.
You may also consider calling a few of the bigger NCRS-type Restoration Shops and see if they have paint info they are willing to share. A number of these shops are listed in the DRIVELINE.
