Why do you suppose the equally equipped yellow 67 only went for $58,000? Both looked pretty good to me om my TV.

"resale red" will do it every time

Check out the price differential between a red Ferrari, and a white one.

The Venetian Red '57 270/red interior was interesting - it stalled on the block at $52K and they began pushing it down the ramp, and before it hit the end of the ramp it was at $98K, in $10K increments.

I'm happy with the sale price on the Daytona Blue 63 ($63k), looks almost as good as mine except mine runs with more power (340hp). Otherwise, mine is identical colors, but w/am-fm, and lots less miles. Sometimes, as someone else said, it helps to watch these shows to instill a greater appreciation in your mind for what you own. Guess I'll drive it more careful for a week or two - nahhh!

Remember this is mostly smok & mirrores. All of the Corvette dealers stayed home & are not bidding. If you are thinking about selling I would not be optimistiac.

Absolutely. The prices on BJ are not real world prices. I find it interesting that people think that because "one sold at BJ for this price, mine is worth that too" but then they whine when they aren't offered anything close to the BJ price.

As amazed I was with the low 69 Tri-power prices, I'm equally amazed with the Mid Year prices.

                67 327/300 Automatic.... $85,000.......

The later it gets, and as the liqour flows, anything is possible.

                    One of 3,788 with AC.

                    Just auctioned, A 67 327/350HP Coupe $98,000.

I guess my point is, there's no notice of recession when a Mid year rolls across the stage.

Prices are strong. I'd like to see a strong 69 roll across this late as a comparison.

                    I think timing is everything.

"Minus commission" to the SELLER but PLUS BUYER'S PREMIUM to the buyer.
Basic difference between the two cars was in the view of the buyer(s); the red car was a two owner with around 40K miles; the yellow had a big block hood, undisclosed ownership history - both 350 HP.

You're living in a Dream World.... the majority of those SELLING here are dealers.....and they are active carnivores during lightly attended selling periods of the ALL NO RESERVE auction.

Interesting sale (to me) was Lot 987, a 67 Marina blue base engine, auto, AC and with many options go for 90k plus 10%, total 99k.

Hmm, My's car 2 owner (previous) with 37K org. Miles doced. The market is set via Auctions whether we like it or not. After the Jan-Feb sales are done. NADA, Blue Book, Kelly and the rest avg. all sales from RM (very high) end. Russo Steele, Silver, Barrett-Jackson etc. From there high and Low. are Avg. to arrive what the banks "laughlingly" call fair mkt. prices. B-Jackson has really no Sembelence of Reality. BUT the market calls for a true sale w/ money changing hands to gauge a value on these and other cars. ( Auctions are immediate) Thus a figure is arrived at. Be it good or bad. So will Barrett Jackson tell the tale. No, but its all part of a larger barometer that gauges the health and worth of these collectibles. As Will Rogers said "Buy Land they aint makin' it any more." Seems the mkt for 50's-67 Vettes may hold true as well.

I have a Marina Blue coupe. I could not get over how that roadster looked just to Blue. I think the people were nuts to pay that price.
