67 Corvette Windshield Tinted Band Color

Hi:
I see that all of the upper tinted bands on new glass replacement windshields are of a dark blue color. I have an original windshield from a 67 roadster and the tinted band is more of a light green/gold band. My question is was this originally the dark blue color and faded to this light green/gold color, or is the dark blue color the standard tint produced on all new glass?

Tom, mine is as you say a light green. Windshield is orignal. Bill.

The green is good, the gold is more likely sunfade

Tom, my '67 is a 43,000 mile barn-find with original glass. It had sat in a barn, out of the sun, from 1979, until I pulled it out in early 2006. The windshield in mine has a light green band.
