    Incorrect VIN

I purchased this convertible in 1976 from best friend who purchased in 1972 . The number 67 is in the forth and fifth place locations. My newly purchased restoration handbook indicates this is the designation for a coupe with the convertible being designated with a 37. Could there be an error and would my next step be a title search?

67 is correct for a convertible. 37 is a coupe. I think you have an error in your reference book.

Thanks. I will sleep better tonight. The book, Richard F. Newton's Restoration guide is the first book I have ever bought since joining last week. It specifies the 67 as the coupe designation for the 63-64 models. I was wondering why GM would make a change like this.

Do sleep well! That resource book has things inverted in that category.
