61 power window installation

I am re-assembling the doors on my '61 and could use advice on the assembly sequence. doors are freshly painted and bare. Original power window car that was previously changed to a hand crank. I have all the correct parts but am not sure if there are any tricks to the assembly.

There's an article in the RESTORER some years back on how to do that--and what to watch for. It's available on the master CD from the NCRS store. To do an entire article for you here would be onerous.

I recently assembled my '60 power window equipment. What a job, you learn doing it once and then it is so much trouble from the first time you really dread doing it again if something isn't right. Is there a trick to preloading the spring on the regulator? My windows are sluggish going up and I have wondered about the 'spring assist'. But then also thought perhaps the new felt could be presentiong some resistance.

David if you see the first response to the post by Mike Ernst there is mention of a restorer article. I found this on the cd for 61-62 cars and it does describe how to preload the regulator for installation back in place. Also mentioned is the need to lubricate in certain locations to everything work as good as possible.
