    Interesting that the seller finds it necessary to point out that the engine is "still in the car", kinda like an apology......any idea of the vintage of the ad Joe?

            Yeah, it looks a lot like my 53 #276. When I visited Ed Theibaud a couple of years ago, Ed gave me a nearly complete run of Blue Flame Specials, and a stack of photos of cars that club members had sent him. Ed lost most of the VCC stuff in a fire, but still had a box of interesting items left. Two of the photos he had from 1970 or so - 53 #013 and 53 #276:

            #276 has not changed much. I suspect #013 has been restored.
