Hi, First I would like to introduce myself. My name is John. I live in Delaware and own a 1968 Convertible L-79, Cordovan Maroon. I've owned her since 1985. Had a frame off done in 2005. I recently purchased a 1 owner 69 Coupe, Lemans Blue, Original (is there any other way?) sidepipe car, L-46........the guy neglected it but lucky for me, he was lazy.........he never changed anything. Smog intact!
Here's mt first question. I recently picked up an original 68 e brake console. We all know these can be hard to find intact. I went to clean it out and I noticed, in the seatbelt holes (68 only)..........were 3, what look like bullet shaped molds on the outer side of the inside of each. I have 3 other consoles and none have this. Two things I am sure of.......It is 100% Corvette GM original 68.......and that these are factory moldings inside the holes............has anyone ever seen this?? Is it an "early" 68 feature?
Thanks in advance for any help. Stay safe, John
