    Question on C2 "NOS" bumpers

I'm looking at a set of "NOS" front and rear bumpers which are accompanied by GM boxes with part numbers but the bumpers do not have a GM tag stuck to the inside. Instead, there is a three letter stamping in what appears to be black ink. The letters are MPC. Can anyone tell me what this code means and whether or not these bumpers are actually GM NOS? The top side of the bumpers are very nice with the underside showing typical weld areas with what looks to be grinding/sanding marks beneath the chrome finish. They are somewhat wavy as well which can be felt when you run your hand over them. There is no rust anywhere on the bumpers, inside or out, and they are being represented as having sat in storage since the mid seventies. Any opinions? Thanks.

All of the NOS C2 bumpers that I have ever seen have had the GM part number stickers inside the bumpers. Sometimes there is also a small sticker like a price tag from the plating shop.

I've actually bought two separate sets of NOS C2 bumpers, in correct boxes, in the last three years. Every one of the bumpers has a GM sticker attached to the back sides, with a correct part number on them.
I would be suspect of the ones you mentioned. Ridge.

not sure if I am supposed to mention this (newbie).........but there is one listed ebay now, in the box, with the sticker affixed........it's 30 yrs old at least.........right side rear only.......look at it to compare..my guess if none of the 4 parts have it that they are rechromed.
