    Restoring a set of original 66/67 KOs and need help with the paint color and shade used between the fins. Thank in advance, Dick Capello

    Dick -- I jotted down this info from an earlier post by an esteemed member (sorry, can't remember his name but initials might be L.L.). He recommended NAPA "cast iron" paint. I haven't had the opportunity to try it. Probably the '67 Bolt-on shade was the same as the '65-6 KO.

    I do have a set of 5 original '66s, and, IMHO, the shade is much lighter than the repro's and re-sprays I've seen on the judging field. I don't think the paint fades over 42 years, but I may be wrong .
