C2 Parking brake cable restoration

What is the restored condition of the parking brake cable, bracket, bolt holding the braket to the cable, the pulley and the bolt holding the pulley to the bracket. I am refering to the cable section that bolts to the firewall only. I know the bolts were probably CAD. Was the bracket painted before it was bolted to the cable? Was the assembly bolted to the firewall before or after blackout? Would the cable itself just have blackout paint on it on the top half ? My car is a St. Louis 66 coupe.

Bracket was painted black, more gloss than the compartment blackout, cable was installed after paint & blackout, so no paint on the cable
