    When did they add VIN to 1960 pads?

    Is there a general consensus as to when and approximately what VIN received the first VIN derivative stamp on the stamp pad in 1960? Nolands' book says one thing and the judging manual says something very different. Thanks.

      The JG says December 1959 or aprox. VIN 1800 which would be third week of December.

          My 1960 VIN is 1651 and the VIN is stamped on the engine pad.

                  Thanks guys. The conflict I am having is that Nolands' book says May or approximately VIN #7500 if I am not too badly mistaken. This is a huge difference from what the JG says as you have all noted. Let me be more specific. Is it safe to assume that VIN's #700 and below did not receive the VIN stamping?
