    Correct Bolts 66

I am trying to make correct restoration on 427/425. What markings should be on intake and exhaust bolts?

Typical markings for the intake bolts would be 3 radial lines with an "A" or an "M" in the center and of untrimmed (i.e. "indented") head configuration. For your application, the bolts were zinc plated and were flanged head style.

The exhaust manifold bolts were trimmed (i.e. "non-indented") standard, non-flanged head. The headmarking was 2 concentric circles and the bolts were black phosphate finished.

Walter, most common Intake manifold bolt headmarkings for a 66 425 HP I have seen are FP and M in that order. The exaust manifold bolt headmarkings I have seen are A, N, F. Once I figure out how to post pictures I will post some of each.

And now here are the Intake Manifold/Bellhousing bolts. In the back left are M's, back righ are FP's front are A's and CP's (usually bellhousing ).

Thanks. I have several bolts that have the F/P marking that I am sure are the intake bolts. Now I need to determine exhaust manifold markings.
