Re: 65 pwr antenna
Donald, I have the same problem. I found a product called seal-peal made by Evans Co. It is a wax based product that is heated to 350 degrees and parts are dipped into it. Tool companies use it to protect sharpened end mills ect. I havn't tried it out yet, (have to wait till wife is away before putting it in the oven). Chuck McSheehy- Top

Re: 65 pwr antenna
Gah! dont put it in the oven. I use dipseal DS-250 Amber. It is a similar product to that above. Go to c2powerantenna.com to see pictures. Besure to plug your bolt hole and drain hole or it will fill into the housing. I've seen originals with this condition.
Get a deep container (You can cut the top off an old gallon gas can) and place it over the grill. You'll see why the oven is a bad idea. Dip the antenna in the container slowly and remove it slowly. The dip it in water to set it quickly. Good luck.- Top

Re: 65 pwr antenna
Appreciate for the tips Greg. Just kidding about wife's oven but wasn't sure about using grill. I read that the seal peal is flamable at about 400 degrees. Chuck M.- Top
