Corvette Publications and Web site recommendations wanted

Can anyone recommend magazines or web sites that cover C1 and C2 technical issues and are a good source for used parts and service providors ? I am a newbie and always looking for good resources.

In addition to the NCRS publications, I also subscribe to On Solid Ground and Corvette Fever. I also look at these web sites: Vetteheads, Vettetube.com, Vetteweb.com, Corvetteforum.com, Corvetteactioncenter.com and the C1 registry.

I thought that was what this joint is all about.

...got a technical question? I bet you will find the answer in the achives that go back ten years.

This TDB is my favorite source thanks to those like you who share your info and opinions.

I am looking for other sources that people like you use to stay up on the hobby.

I visit here, Vetteheads and Corvette Enthusiast.
If I can't learn it with one of those three methods, it's not worth learning with regard to Corvettes.

The quality of writing of Vette and Corvette Feve have gone down remarkably over the past few years. Add to it the fact that most of the readership is not "into" restored cars, and there's not much to learn there.

I have never been impressed with the quality of technical knowledge on the CF when it comes to any Corvette older than 1984. Some of the hack jobs over there amaze me. I don't visit the C1 through C4 forums over there any more, and haven't visited the C6 section in many months.

          Hi Patrick,
I'm at a loss as to how to respond to your post. I wish you'd reconsider your presence on CF, it would certainly increase the 'level technical knowledge'.
          Regards,
          Alan

            Are you kidding???
Go ahead and read the C3 sections.

Better yet, here's a thread that someone linked to from a different board.
Tell me one thing this guy did right:
C3 Tech/Performance - Cross Drilled Slotted Rotors Install Is NOTHING Simple? - Well today I thought to myself I'll kill some time making another video on something simple while I'm waiting on info on other threads Yea OK, for me thats turned out to be the equivalent same words of impending doom as Hey, watch this!...

I know it's categorizing, but it's just another example of the "Throw the Summit Racing catalog at it and don't pay any attention to the facts" mentality that rules on the C3 side.

I've watched Duke bang his head against the wall on CF waaaay too many times trying to help. I'm shocked that he still tries. Many of us have given up on it.

Other than the rare visit to the C6 forums to check out things for my new car, or on occasion to check out the C3 "parts for sale" area, I avoid CF like the plague.
